Harpenden - Current Project

Set within a private and secluded plot in Harpenden, this project involves the demolition of an existing five-bedroom dwelling and the construction of two new luxury family homes, along with a bespoke outbuilding.

The outbuilding will include a fully equipped gym, kitchen, and changing facilities, providing a high-quality wellness and leisure space.

The main residences will feature basement levels designed for both leisure and practicality, including cinema rooms, utility areas, and high-end finishes throughout.

The gym building will provide approximately 117 sq.m of dedicated space, incorporating zones for stretching, cardio, and strength training.

The architectural approach combines traditional character with contemporary design, maximising natural light, energy efficiency, and overall comfort.

The project is registered under the Considerate Constructors Scheme and will be delivered to a high standard of site management, neighbour care, and environmental responsibility.

FCM Contractors commenced works on 05 January 2026. Demolition of the existing dwelling has been completed, and we are currently nearing completion of the piling works, with the next phase focused on substructure and basement construction in coordination with the design team.
